Achievements so far: yA!!! eR before I start,
forgive me if u don't understand what i'm talking abt..it's my
singaporean accent..hEE hEE..HmMm...when I was from a normal
primary school (meaning that all are hearing and I had some
difficulties integrating into their society.), i was mostly inactive
and didn't understand everything!!! then I barely passed my exams
prior to entering a normal secondary school. (again) but there are
lot of deaf students there so I mingled quite well with them..they're
fun to hang out!! this is where I fully understood myself. my
results are very excellent..topped my Secondary 1 class...in fact,
my class is worst among others and subjects are very easy. then my
teachers gave me a chance to get to a better 2nd yr class. as i've
to cope with better subjects in my Sec 2, I managed to be in top
10 list. but topping my classes didnt not stop after 2nd yr. from
Sec 3 to Sec 5, I always never fail to top my classes though I
wanted to flunk. a big change huh? from primary school, I was very
dumb but after secondary days, I was very conscious of everything
around me.
anyway I loved math, geography, art,
chemistry (BEST!) and physics. I even got As for all except my
english. :P I passed my GCE 'O' Level....I'm very happy with my
results and got enrolled in a polytechnic (highest institution
possible for some deafs in singapore as university entry is very
competitive and most deafs has little or satisfactory education).
I was currently studying for a Diploma in Internet
Computing. Very fortunate but I dont like this course! That's not
my interest..but dun know why i chose it!!! Hahaha..Damn boring!!!
Yucks!!
Hmmm..not just about my education..abt my
life, I realized that I matured quite ahead of my friends despite
my childish behaviour hahahaha!! I like playing playing!!!!
hahahah like cannot grow up..during my secondary school career,
I was active in the Art Club. I LOVE ARTS! I once did batik
painting aka silk painting in Malay.
Be able to help
friends in need and do things independently and ignore those
attitude ppl is my achievements also..hey hey I don't mean to show
off oK?? juz that I should speak openly what I think..right??
hEE hEE.. =P
Future Aims & Goals: yA!!!! Have have!!!
after my 2nd year in this boring course, I'll be transferring to
Diploma in Biotechnology (3 another yrs). As I just realized this
is where my interest actually lies!
Given that I got
distinctions for Chemistry/Physics, I'm sure i can DO IT! I was
intrigued by how living things evolve..maybe analysis the causes
of hearing loss?? hahahaha!! kidding man! then after my poly, I
intend to further my studies in Biotech in local university like
NUS (National University of Singapore). hEy wiSh mE aLL e StReNgTh
nEEdEd tO sEE mE thru another 3 yrs!! I've wasted 2 yrs already.
Thanks man!!
To be a biotechnologist? NaH! It is only
a temporary term...Ultimately, I want to be a HUMANITARIAN in
Nepal one day! that's my DREAM!! For those dont know, humanitarian
means concerned with improving bad living conditions and
preventing unfair treatment of people. just like a social
worker. Nepal is 1 of most poorest countries, yet, Himalayas
mountains is very beautiful!!! I think I'll be destined to stay
there forever...I believe God has given me a purpose to fulfil
my earthly job as a human being. Amen! =D If possible, I can
outreach to deaf Nepalis..= )
Your Advice to the Deaf Community: Hmmm....just
think of something exciting for your life!!!!!! like me, I wanna
study biotechnology which no deaf in singapore has attempted that
field before. Or be a humanitarian!! Or making deaf friends
overseas! Or be a fashion designer!! Or be a film maker!! There
are many many things to do while life's short man!! Don't waste your
time on blaming yourself on your disability - so futile!! Don't
shy away from difficulites u face! face it! Don't just type type
type, action speaks louder than words! Don't care about how
society looks at you! oK? aLL e bEsT~~~~~~! sorry if i sound
over-charismatic in my tone...hahahahah =D I was always like
that! Lastly, I wanna tell you all, just BELIEVE GOD!
