Achievements so far: Graduated from Lexington School For The Deaf in Jackson Heights, N.Y. in 1998. Graduated with the biggest honors. In 2000, Graduated from South Bronx School of Technology with a Certificate in Construction Trades. Being a great dad for my kids, being out there in the real world and to go against the difficult discriminations in life. My other achievement is enrolling into community college to major in business adminstration (trying to be an Enterpreneur).

Future Aims & Goals: Basically watching my kids grow up, put them in a good schoo or an institution. Try to set up a business in Construction Trades. In my spare time, trying to study the book of Enterpreneurship. My goal is to try to be an Enterpreneur and to own a club, I know it s a long shot but it s worth the try. Try to be a good husband to the love of my life. Also, trying to find a great location to live in so my kids can have a stable home and a good school to go to, to enjoy the life somewhere else besides being here in New York City. My goal is to get my daughter to regain the steps in life which i didnt accomplish. I m trying to let my daughter accomplish her goals. My daughter's name is Jennifer Amber Ruiz. She is deaf and goes to an deaf institute called St. Joseph's School for the Deaf, She is 3 years going on to be 4 in July. She is in the process of being in First Grade. she performs well. She is so smart. She is following into my footsteps. I'm proud of her. My son is hearing and he is the third generation of Jose Ruiz. His name is Jose Antonio Ruiz, III. I call him J.J. he is one year old, He s enrolling school. The name of the school is Rafael Hernandez Dual. My kids are smart like me, But they can accomplish things I never had the motivation to accomplish. When they do, I'll be there to cherish it. Your Advice to the Deaf Community: Know how I feel personally about the deaf community? It is surrounded with deafies who have fairy tale minds who like to tell stories of people's backgrounds to make that person look bad. But the truth is, We all are special people not because we are deaf, it s because we're capable of doing everything that hearing people can do EXCEPT HEAR. But my point is..... Nobody's interested in enemies and nobody is interested in hearing bad things from other people s mouths. It is 2002, a year of being close to each other and to forget the past, the year 2002 is a year of remembrance and a year of moving on to the next century or decade. So my advice is..... If u got the feeling that the person you're about to talk about is bad, keep it to yourself because if you babble, the hurt and the grieving will go back to haunt you because it's not worth it to talk abt other people, next time if you feel the right to talk abt that person, just keep it to yourself, because there's many people who are unique in many ways. There's many people who have different indentities and different personalities, we just have to adapt to it and accept it, We cant tell them what to do, we have to accept or adapt to it. NOBODY IS PERFECT. My lastest advice is, if you really love someone out there, just be there for that person, and love them everyday in every way even though if they're mad at you or if they arent talking to you, just put all effort into it because LOVE WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS. When we were 13 years old, you took me out everywhere, I have tasted life in the world, you showed me what fashion is all about, you showed me how to impress women, you showed me how it is to survive those streets, and also you showed me how to mutante from a nerd to a fine man.
